The Leaside Sports Hall of Fame honours athletes, historical teams and builders who represent Leaside’s rich sports heritage. Do you know of a candidate?
Nomination Criteria for Athletes or Teams:
- Spent their instructional years playing for a Leaside team, club or association
- Has competed representing a Leaside team, club or association
- Their achievements, as an athlete/team, brought recognition to themselves and the Leaside community
- Has been retired from competition. (Note: If you would like to nominate an athlete or team who has not retired yet, please see below for the Athlete/Team of the Year Award)
Nomination Criteria for Builders:
- Coached, managed or volunteered for a Leaside team, club or association
- Their contributions, as a builder, brought recognition to themselves and the Leaside community
- Had a significant impact on their sport, game, club or association in Leaside or beyond
Nominate for the Athlete/Team of the Year Award
The Leaside Sports Hall of Fame “Athlete/Team of the Year” is awarded annually to an athlete or team from/associated with the Leaside community who has had an exemplary year performing their sport. Do you know a candidate? Send us your nomination!
Nominate for the Lifetime Contribution Award
The Leaside Sports Hall of Fame Lifetime Contribution Award is presented periodically to volunteers of local sports organizations who have demonstrated a high degree of devotion and commitment over decades of service in the community. Do you know a candidate? Send us your nomination.
