Introducing the Class of 2020

October 2020 — We are very excited to introduce the Class of 2020 that will be inducted into the Leaside Sports Hall of Fame. Three athletes and one builder were chosen this year to celebrate the excellence in sport from the Leaside Community. They were selected from a pool of nominations submitted by the community and reviewed by a Committee of Community Advisors, as well as the board of Leaside Sports Hall of Fame.

Our Committee of Community Advisors have included politicians, well-known academics, community activists, sports experts, and many outstanding members of the Leaside Community, such as Bill Watters (Sportscaster and Assistant GM, Toronto Maple Leafs), Phyllis Ellis (Canadian Olympian and Gemini Award Winner), the late Dr. Michael Bliss (Professor, University of Toronto), and Alan Redway (Mayor of East York and Minister of State).
