Biography

Kim has been involved with the Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey Association since she first started playing hockey with the Wildcats. She has represented Leaside at the highest collegiate, provincial and national athletic level. Her play in the 90s’ earned her a scholarship at Dartmouth. While there, Kim captained the Big Green in two national championship appearances. After graduating from Dartmouth, Kim returned home to Toronto, where in 2002 she became an original member of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL), the forerunner of the CWHL.

As Kim has transitioned from being a professional athlete, she has become an educator, instructor, and coach. During this time she has coached over 5,000 youth hockey players, 1,000 coaches and 150 teams from across Ontario. In 2012 and 2013, Kim coached the province’s U18 to bronze and silver medals at the National Championships. In 2014 Kim was appointed the coach for the Toronto Leaside Jr. Wildcats, the TLGHA entry into the PWHL.
