Biography
Howard Birnie has been coaching baseball at Talbot Park and volunteering with the Leaside Baseball Association for more than fifty years. Howard has also been an umpire, not only in Leaside but also for national championship, World Junior Championship and professional games. However his primary concern has always been the LBA. During the past forty years as its president, he has worked hard to provide a first rate environment within which two generations of Leaside boys could play baseball, doing whatever tasks needed to be done to accomplish that goal. Howard Birnie is truly a Leaside institution.
