Meraki has Greek origins and means for to do something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work.
Meraki Synchro earned its place in the world of synchronized skating by providing young athletes an opportunity to learn and develop in an atmosphere that promotes learning; passion; humility; commitment and hard work.
Meraki Intermediate was ranked 11th at their first Canadian Championship in 2017. The team also won third at the Ontario Regionals. At the National Championships in February 2018 the 19 skaters, aged 13-18, performed their free program with a personal best score against 13 other competitive teams from across the country. The team skated their second performance and finished the event with a gold medal and a total score of 111.32 capturing the National Championship.
