Biography
Eleanor Voykin lives in Leaside and is an Individual Athlete in track and cross country running and is also an excellent soccer player. She attended Northlea Elementary and Middle School and is now attending Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute.
Eleanor runs and trains with the Blue Devils Athletic Club. In November 2022 she placed first in Novice Girls at OFSAA– the Provincial Finals. At the National Cross Country Championships also held in November 2022 she placed 3rd in the U18 Category but first in her age group.
On the track Eleanor has been equally successful. At the 2023 Ontario Indoor U16 and U20 Athletic Championships in March 2023 she broke the Ontario records in her age group in the 1200- and 2000- meters. Her winning times in earlier races qualified her to run in the 1 Mile and 2 Mile events against competitors from across the US at the NIKE Indoor Nationals in New York which took place over the March 11th weekend. In June 2023 at the OFSAA finals held in Ottawa, she medalled in both the Novice girls, 1500 meters and 3000 meters.
Eleanor is also an OPDL soccer player. She practises year round with the North Toronto Nitros and in 2022 she qualified to play with the Ontario team.
